MESSY CHURCH COMES TO THE BYBROOK BENEFICE

Have you heard about Messy Church? Our first Messy Church is on Good Friday (2nd April)  10.30 - 12.00, at St Mary’s Church Hill, Burton and will have an Easter theme and refreshments will be provided. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

What is Messy Church?

  1. It is an all-age church where everyone is valued equally

  2. It provides an informal environment for all-ages to explore and experience faith and worship through crafts, companionship, and celebration.

  3. It describes each and every one of us as no one is perfect and each of us lead messy lives for many reasons.

  4. It invites us to come together, making things together, sharing happy time together, and celebrating God together. Messy Church is NOT just a craft club! Messy Church is NOT just for children! Messy Church is for everyone – young & old alike, adults, children, teenagers, carers, grandparents, come as friends, families or partners, or come on your own, all-comers welcome.

Aims of Messy Church:

  1. To help people of all ages feel they belong in church and to each other

  2. To help people have fun and be creative together

  3. To introduce Jesus through hospitality, companionship, stories and worship

  4. To provide an opportunity for people of all ages to worship together

We do need adult volunteers to help make it happen. Please contact Marje Caie on 01454 218072 or marje.caie@tiscali.co.uk as soon as possible. If all goes well, we will do it again on the first Saturday of each month
